Rwandan Rapper Jay Polly (real names- Josue Tuyishime) will this Sunday be laid to rest in Rusororo Cemetery amidst an outcry of his fans seeking a public function to send off his body.
The rapper commonly known as Jay passed on this Thursday at age 33.
His family said on Twitter that the body of the deceased rapper will be picked up from the Kacyiru hospital mortuary in the morning 10AM, followed by a prayer ceremony at his home in Kibagabaga at 2PM, then a burial ceremony at 4PM on Sunday, September 5, 2021.
Considering his music track record and influence in the industry, Jay Polly fans on social media however have been asking for the rapper to be sent off in a public event where mourners can be required to take a COVID-19 test and be vaccinated.
Following the death of Jay Polly family and friends have sought financial support through a gofundme.com page, to raise money to offer a decent burial to the rapper.
By press time the funding project had raised $1,065 out of the $7,000 goal that was initially targeted.
However, the funding project said that part of pooled money will be used in helping Jay Polly’s two daughters stay in school and thanked everyone for their helping hand.
