Setback as Rayon Sports Fc Coach Minnaert is arrested in South Africa
Rayon Sports Fc Head Coach Minnaert has been released and is expected in Kigali on Thursday morning.
Minnaert was arrested on Wednesday afternoon in Polokwane, South Africa on a case of theft opened by the owner of Black Leopards, Lidoda Duvha, a second division side on according to South African Media.
Speaking to KT Press on Wednesday night, Minnaert said, “I am out and I will be in Kigali on Thursday morning,”
Last year, Minnaert was in charge of second tier side Black Leopards for only six games following his appointment. During his stint, he only coached six games and won two before the Limpopo side terminated his contract after just a month.
The Blues who have a 3-0 advantage is expected to head to Mozambiqueon Sunday for the return leg against CD Costa do Sol.
