Africa’s bestselling artiste and BET award winner David Adedeji Adeleke, better known on stage as Davido is set to expand his ’30 Billion Concert’ in Rwanda early March this year.

The concert was named after his hit song If which features a verse of 30 billion. In that song, Davido was telling a girl that “If you love me, I will deposit 30 billion francs into your account.”

After having successfully 30 billion concerts in Nigeria that ended late December 2017, Davido’s management is currently planning to bring him in Rwanda due to massive airplay of his songs in the country especially If .

KT Press has learnt that the organizing team in Rwanda is already working on bookings for the venue, sound and entrance fee, according to Bruce Intore one of the people behind the concert.

“Yes, its true Davido is performing live in Kigali early March and it will be one of his signature concerts he has been doing called ‘30 billion concert’ says Bruce Intore.

He added, “we are still negotiating about the venue, sound system together with sponsors that’s why we haven’t set the entrance fee yet.”

Bruce Intore is the founder of Rock Events in Rwanda famous for bringing in A list Performers like Mr Eazi (Ghana), Navio (Uganda), Tekno Miles (Nigeria) as well as Sauti Sol from Kenya and many others.

The concert is put together by Sony Music and Positive Production which will hold a press conference at a later date around February to announce the proceedings of the much-anticipated concert.

This will be the first ever concert of Davido in East Africa in 2018 and it’s the second time for the FIA hit maker who has collaborated with world music icons like R. Kelly, Wale, Meek Mill and Africa’s finest Wiz Kid to perform live in Kigali.

IF is one of the most played Davido songs in clubs, radio and television stations around Kigali and his songs are much liked by the youth which makes him a hot cake.

Davido was born in Atlanta GA, USA on November 21st to Nigerians Mr And Mrs Adeleke and attended The British International School, Lagos.

Travelling between the USA, the UK and Nigeria, Davido has experienced different cultures but still stays true to his roots and this is evident in his music and the people he considers his biggest influences musically, which include Don Jazzy, 2 Face idibia, Sound Sultan and Wande Coal.
