The cabinet meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame on January 26 approved the new Director General of Rwanda Biomedical Centre(RBC).
The new boss of the institution which has a busy schedule in preventing more spread of COVID-19 is Professor Claude Mambo Muvunyi.
He is replacing the Dr. Sabin Nsanzimana who was suspended in December 2021 pending investigation on accountability matters. of
Also appointed at RBC is Noella Bigirimana, the Deputy Director General.
Dr. Charles Karangwa was also appointed as Rwanda Director General at Rwanda Forensic Laboratory.
Two Permanent Secretaries were appointed including Philippe Habinshuti at Ministry of Emergency Management and Benjamin Sesonga at the Ministry of Internal Security.
The cabinet further approved presidential orders dismissing officers in the Rwanda National Police.
It also approved the Ministerial order dismissing without notice non-commissioned officers.
