More Promotions in Central Government

Two former district mayors have been appointed Executive Secretaries of the Province, while two more officials were re-appointed in this top position in the entity that has the mandate to advocate for local government, ensure the security of goods and people, among others.

In the appointments that were made by Prime Minister Dr Edouard Ngirente, Florence Uwambajemariya, is no longer the mayor of Burera district in Northen Province.

She was appointed Executive Secretary of the Western Province, replacing Pierre Celestin Habiyaremye.

Mayor Jeanne Nyirahabimana of Kicukiro district has been appointed Executive Secretary of the Eastern Province.

In the same appointments, Prime Minister swapped Geofrey Mushayija who has been the executive secretary of Southern Province with Paul Jabo who was the executive secretary of Northern Province.

An Executive Secretary of the province is in charge of Technical coordination as Chief Budget Manager of the Province.

These appointments follow others that were made by President Paul Kagame on Monday this week in the cabinet, where five ministers, two Ministers of State and two permanent secretaries were appointed.
