APR BBC women seen against UR women BBC over the week-end
Holders Patriots BBC and APR Women Basketball Club ended the weekend on a perfect note as they won their respective matches in men and women categories in the BK National Basketball League.
On Friday, Patriots defeated strugglers Rusizi 80-54 before former champions REG BBC edged out APR BBC 88-64.
Action continued on Saturday when UGB BBC lost out to IPRC Huye BBC 61-64 while Espoir BBC registered a 90-56 victory over Rusizi BBC.
On Sunday, Patriots BBC cemented their 8th unbeaten victory with a 69-58 win over IPRC Huye BBC while UGB BBC rose from Saturday’s loss to IPRC Huye to defeat UR BBC 94-57 respectively.
In the women’s category, APR BBC defeated The Hoops BBC 54-43 before sealing another perfect 82-53 victory over UR BBC respectively.
Unbeaten Patriots lead the table with 16 points from eight games, three ahead of Patrick Ngwijuruvugo’s REG who have lost once – against Patriots – last month.
Espoir BBC are third with 11 points in seven matches while record 7-time champions APR BBC are placed fourth with 10 points in seven matches played so far.
In the women’s rankings, IPRC Huye women BBC leads the standings with six points unbeaten in three matches while APR Women BBC are placed second with five points with UR women BBC completing the top three with four points in four matches played this season.
