Contestants who are vying for Miss Rwanda crown
This Saturday, the showbiz fraternity and the general public will know the 20 beauty queens that qualified for the boot camp in the process of Miss Rwanda 2019 selection.
From auditions that were held across the country since December 2018, The Rwanda Inspiration Backup Ltd came up with a list of 37 girls who aspire to be Miss Rwanda,
In the current stage that is scheduled for January 5, 2019 at Gikondo Expo grounds, the jury will choose top twenty girls that will spend two weeks at Golden Tulip Hotel to be initiated to modeling, culture among other components that will shape them for the finals.
The event is the talk of the town among Miss Rwanda beauty pageant fans, friends, families of contestants and showbiz fraternity.
Contestants will again meet judges on the panel to express their projects as usual process and the best who will manage to convince judges will get a pass to join the Boot camp.
In the due course what is on as we speak is the voting of favorite/popular Miss Rwanda contestant on social media platforms Instagram and facebook respectively.
The beauty queen who will lead in likes both on Instagram and Facebook will automatically qualify for boot camp.
By press time, this social media voting was closed.
One contestant Josiane Mwiseneza representing Western Province who made news after walking miles to the audition hall was leading with 19,700 likes on Instagram and 5500 on Facebook at vote closing time.
Although there are rumors going on that some contestants paid for auto likes, the accused dismissed this allegation defending that such fraud cannot happen when the page is managed by organizers – Rwanda Inspiration Backup Ltd.
Miss Rwanda 2019 will replace the reigning Miss Lilian Iradukunda.
