The High Curt has released on bail Diane Shima Rwigara and her mother Adeline Mukangemanyi Rwigara this Friday.
The two are accused of insurrection including forging documents for Diane Rwigara and divisionism for Adeline Rwigara.
The court said that reasons prosecution gave as to why they should be remanded are no longer valid. The reasons were; to avoid potential tampering with the investigation or possible escape.
The court said the investigation was concluded while the allegation that they could escape has no evidence.
The prosecution had also presented a worry that if the suspects meet, they would spoil the good conduct of the trial but the court dismissed that because the law allows co-accused to consult.
However, the suspects were released on condition that they should not cross the boundaries of the capital Kigali, unless they have the permission of the prosecution.
Court ordered that their travel documents be withheld.
Investigation n the Rwigaras case started early September last year and they were arrested a couple of weeks later with Anne Rwigara, the sister to Diane Rwigara who would be released later when Nyarugenge intermediate court found no substantial evidence incriminating her.
The Rwigaras received the court ruling with excitement with Mukangemanyi Rwigara raising both her hands above in a prayer and praise mood in front of the fully packed courtroom.
Her co-accused was full of smiles.
On November 17th, the Rwigaras had appeared in court appealing for bail a few days after Nyarugenge intermediate court had remanded them.
