Marriott Hotel Organises Charity Walk to Raise Rwf8M for SOS Children

Do you believe in or are you a charitable person in Rwanda? If the answer is Yes! Then there is something charitable that you can do this weekend for poor Rwandan children.

Join the Associates of Kigali Marriott Hotel, the Rwandan community together with partners to participate in the Road to Awareness #Walk4ChildrenKigali from the hotel via Muhima – Gitega – Camp Kigali route and back on 11th August 2018.

If not, buy a T-shirt (Rwf10,000) as part of Road to Awareness (R2A) – which intends to collect Rwf8million that will be used to support 2000 children at SOS Children’s Villages International in Rwanda.

Kigali Marriott Hotel will be selling T-shirts from a number of points of sale from Saturday till mid-September 2018.

R2A is an annual Marriott’s associate fundraising campaign that has been making a valuable difference to the lives of Children across Africa since 2008.

This year, the Marriot Kigali event is reaching out to Children through confirmed charity partner – SOS Children’s Villages International who will assist in raising funds that would strengthen SOS Children’s Villages vision and objectives of providing loving care and education to Children in Rwanda.

“We are looking for support in cash donations, points of sale outlets to push the T-shirt sales, provision of refreshments, publicity and media support, and any other form of assistance from your team,” the event organizers said in a statement.

Yulia Bogdanova, the Marriot Human Resource Director said that the funds, once collected, will be handed over to SOS who will use the money for SOS activities evolving around education especially for the needy child in the SOS villages.
