Amavubi International Bayisenge Signs Three-year Deal with Algerian Giant USM

Rwandese Bayisenge Emery has joined USM Alger on a three-year deal

Speaking to KT Sports on Wednesday night, an excited Bayisenge said, “I am so happy have sealed this deal. It’s another chapter in my career and I am hoping to do my best to excel with this club which has a rich history,”

Bayisenge, 24 years old, joined USM Alger on Wednesday having passed two medical tests held on Monday and Tuesday, ending a two-year stint with Morocco’s Jeunesse Sportive d’El Massira.

Bayisenge left Rwandan champions APR FC for Morocco in September 2016 for KAC de Kénitra though it got relegated, he joined Jeunesse Sportive dEl Massira in the same division.

The Algerian club has also signed right back Mohammed Mezghrani on a 3-year-contract

The club was founded in 1937 and its colours are red and black. Their venue, the Omar Hamadi Stadium, has a capacity of 12,000. The club is currently playing in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.

The club has one of Algeria’s most prominent football charts, won the Algerian Ligue Professionally 1 7 times, the Algerian Cup 8 times and the Algerian Super Cup 2 times, reached the final of the 2015 CAF Champions League although lost to TP Mazembe.

This year, the club surged into the Confederation Cup group phase with a 4-0 thrashing of Nigeria’s Plateau United in a play-off second leg.

Then, they hammered Young Africans (Yanga) of Tanzania 4-0 to take control of Group D after the opening matches played last Month.

However, they were battled to a barren draw with host Gor Mahia in their CAF Confederation Cup Group D match at a rain-soaked Karasani Stadium on May. 16th.

They have four points from two matches; their next fixture will be against Rwandan’s defending champions Rayon Sports FC on June 7th at Nyamirambo stadium.
