Rwandan representative Rayon Sport will play against Mozambican side Club Desportivo Costa do Sul in the Play-Off round of the 2018 CAF Confederations Cup.
The Blues learnt their CAF Confederation Cup fate following a draw for the group stages playoffs that took place in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Wednesday.
Former Zamalek midfielder Hazem Emam assisted CAF Deputy General Secretary Anthony Baffoe to conduct the draw.
The reigning Azam Rwanda Premier League champions Rayon Sports Fc were then handed Mozambican giants Club Desportivo Costa do Sul in the playoff for a spot in the groups.
Rayon Sports Fc were in the Champions League but were relegated to CAF’s second tier tournament after losing to South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns.
While their opponents Club Desportivo Costa do Sul knocked out South African side Cape Town City Fc in the first round of the Confederation Cup to reach the Play-off round.
The first leg will be played in Kigali on Friday, April 6, 2018 while the return leg will be staged in Maputo between April 17-18, 2018.
A win for the Blues will see them seal a historical place in the lucrative CAF Confederation Cup group stage.

Rayon should prepare more seriously than the time of Mamelodi. Any team reaching this stage is stronger. Overconfidence and winning before match are worst things that have made teams lose wereas they were favourite.
