The 2017 UAE Exchange 50-Overs Premier League qualifiers gets into its second day over the weekend with Round two action set to be played at Kicukiro and Gahanga cricket oval respectively.
On Sunday, Kerala Hunters will be up against Impala Titans in a round 1 match which will be played at Kicukiro oval from 9am.
On the same morning, a round two action between Indorwa cricket club against Vikings cricket club will be underway at Gahanga cricket oval at 9am.
The UAE Exchange 50-Overs Premier League qualifiers begun last Sunday as Indorwa Cricket Club beat Tamil Lions Cricket Club on Duckworth Lewis method at Kicukiro cricket oval on Sunday.
Indorwa CC won the toss and elected to bowl, limiting Tamil Lions to 79 runs all out in 16.2 overs. Indorwa gave away 29 extras, which means that Tamil batsmen managed just 50 runs amongst them.
In the second game, Vikings Cricket Club defeated Rwanda Cricket Association Development Team by 5 wickets.
Indorwa and Vikings are joint top of the standings table with four points each but Indorwa has a better net run rate of +5.122 compared to 0.786 for Vikings.
This year’s competition is being contested for by six teams over the next two weekends.
The women’s edition starts on November 18, with six teams in contention for the title.
Pool A is composed of Oasis cricket club, She Guards cricket club, Charity cricket club while Pool B is made up of Indatwa WCB cricket club, White Clouds cricket club and Queens of Victory cricket club.
