Rwandan football referee has been selected among a team of 13 referees that will arbitrate at the African Cup of Nations(AFCON) later this month.
Hakizimana Louis – is known for refereeing at tough matches especially during encounters between arch-rival teams ; APR FC and Rayon Sports. He is expected to attract a lot of attention at the 2017, Under-20 AFCON tournament scheduled in Zambia’s capital Lusaka.
Eight African soccer giants are expected at the tough competition that will kick off from February 26 to March 12. The teams have been placed in two groups including;
Group A – Zambia, Guinea, Egypt, Mali
Group B – Senegal, Sudan, Cameroon, South Africa
Rwanda’s football governing body FERWAFA and AZAM rewarded Hakizimana as best referee of the year 2015/2016. His recently arbitrated the Heroes day match between Rayon Sports and APR FC.
